The pontificate of Pope Pius X was the first in which photography became widespread and apostolic ceremonies began to be regularly photographed. Although the traditional rhythm of the celebrations of the papal chapels was not maintained (and was never returned to), great celebrations were held in the Vatican, such as public consistories, episcopal ordinations, and solemn papal Masses. In this place we will try to document these valuable photographic testimonies of the times of the holy Pope Sarto (the page will be updated).
