Caeremoniale Romanum

Project information

The project is the result of research conducted in April 2013 in the Archives of the Office for the Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff (Archivio dell’Ufficio delle Celebrazioni Liturgiche del Sommo Pontefice; formerly Archivio Storico dei Cerimonieri Pontifici or Archivio de’ Maestri delle Cerimonie Pontificie) under the direction of Chiara Maragoni PhD and with the assistance of Chiara Rocciolo PhD. This research was made possible thanks to the kind permission and approval of the then Prefect of Studies of the Institute of the Good Shepherd, Fr. Matthieu Raffray.

The originally collected and compiled documents were published in 2014 as a free e-book in Polish. Due to the amateur nature of the editorial work, it is currently unavailable and not distributed. One printed copy, as previously agreed, was given to the then Master of Papal Ceremonies, Monsignor Guido Marini, and placed in the OLCSP Archives. Today, we present the same documents in a modern and much more accessible format.

Documents marked as originating from the Archives of the Office for the Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff belong to that Office. They may not be copied or shared without written permission. All the results of the project are also available in e-book form, which includes additional commentary and materials. Ut in omnibus Deus glorificetur.
